How to eat right for a stressful job!

When you have a job that keeps you on the go, be sure to eat right so that you don’t end up struggling with your day-to-day activities.

Here are 5 diet tips to help you eat right:

  1. Cut out refined carbs: Carbohydrates are essential in your diet, they give you energy and keep you going but choose your carbs well. Avoid all refined carbs. This means that you need to avoid anything that has gone to the mill or is processed. In other words, if you can’t eat it as it was grown, don’t eat it. Cereal in boxes have a great load of sugar in them, white rice is processed to taste better, bread is made of flour that has been stripped of all nutrients… You get the idea that anything that is taken from the farms to the mills or factories is not healthy.
  2. Eat raw, natural foods: Opt for vegetables, fruit, meat, fish and healthy oils, like coconut and olive oil. If you can eat it as it was grown, you are eating all its good nutrients.
  3. Supplement your diet: Okay, so eating raw, natural foods is not good enough because farmers plough the same fields year after year and eventually the soil is stripped of some of its nutrients which means the foods you eat lack those nutrients, even if they are healthy foods. Take a good quality multi-vitamin, vitamin C, vitamin B complex and Omega 3.
  4. Cut out your food sensitivities: If you crave a food every day, it’s likely that you have a food sensitivity towards that food. For example, if you need to have coffee, you may be sensitive towards it. This makes you put on weight and feel lousy. Cut out anything that you think may be unhealthy for you and you will feel so much better in as little as one week.
  5. Veggie smoothies: No time to make healthy meals? Don’t bother, just blend a hand full of broccoli, spinach, cauliflower, parsley or coriander, a carrot, 3 cloves of garlic, half a teaspoon of ginger, and one Granny-Smith apple. Drink this at least once per day in place of a meal and if you want to cleanse your system, drink it in place of two or all meals for just one week. Drink dandelion, camomile and green tea throughout the day. After just one week, you will be amazed how great you feel, energised and ready for anything that comes your way.

If you look after your body, it will look after you. Give it all that it needs in the form of nutrients and you will be amazed what you will be able to achieve.
